Introducing the Team

Just under 5 hours left of 2011, and I thought this would be a great time to introduce ourselves.
·         Laura Bessenecker might be 14 years old (she is Joe, honestly, you're supposed to have a good memory). Then again, she might not. I can't remember. She lives in Madison, Wisconsin, the USA. She likes cows and guinea pigs, and hugs and food and music, and quite a lot of other things. She has slippers called Dave and Twinkles.
·         Jonnie Bevan is definitely 16 years old. He lives in Coventry, England. He likes Maths, especially statistics, and enjoys drumming, even if no one enjoys him drumming. As well as this, if you type his name into urban dictionary, apparently it is a female name. Hey-ho.
·         Joe Sidebotham is 16 years old, unless you believe Facebook, in which case he's actually 66. He also likes Maths, though not statistics, is the second best freestyle unicyclist in the country, and will have been involved in 8 different drama/circus productions by the time the holidays come up.
If anyone's interested, we all met each other when the Besseneckers visited England for a few months, back in 2010. We returned the visit in summer 2011, and decided on this idea then. All three of us are Christians, know all 50 American states, and have older sisters.
(Read the last post if you haven't got a clue what's going on).

An Introduction

It’s December 31st. Tomorrow, naturally, marks the start of a new year. And among many other things, the start of a mammoth challenge for the three of us - Laura, Jonnie and Joe.

We’ll introduce ourselves a bit more with the next entry, but we just thought we’d tell you a bit about the idea first. Tomorrow, as I said, is New Year’s day. As many people are aware, it’s not the only day that’s celebrated once every year. There’s “Talk like a Pirate” day, “National Pi Day”, and “International Polar Bear day”, to name just a few.

In fact, there’s at least one day for all 366 days of the coming year. So we decided we were going to attempt to celebrate all of them, in one way or another. To make it more interesting, we’re keeping this blog going, to tell everybody what we’ve been getting up to. There should be a link to the list of days on the blog – have a look at what we’ve got coming up.

So, keep an eye on the blog. We guarantee that, however far we get, you can look forward to some weird activities during 2012. And it starts tomorrow. “First Foot Day”, and “Z Day”
